How to Create Email Accounts in cPanel

Creating a business email address with your own domain (e.g., info@yourdomain.com) helps you look professional and keep communication organized. With cPanel, you can easily create and manage email accounts and connect them to email clients such as Gmail, Outlook, or Apple Mail.

Step 1 – Log in to cPanel

  1. Go to https://yourdomain.com:2083 or https://yourdomain.com/cpanel.

  2. Enter your cPanel username and password.

  3. Once inside, scroll down to the Email section.

Step 2 – Create a New Email Account

  1. Click Email Accounts.

  2. Click + Create.

  3. Fill in the fields:

    • Username: for example, supportsupport@yourdomain.com.

    • Password: use a strong, unique password.

    • Storage Space: choose a quota or set it to unlimited (if your plan allows).

  4. Click Create to finish.

You now have a working email account!

Step 3 – Access Email via Webmail

  1. Go to https://yourdomain.com/webmail.

  2. Enter the full email address (e.g., support@yourdomain.com) and password.

This is the fastest way to check email from any browser.

Gmail (Import into Gmail)

  1. In Gmail, go to Settings → Accounts and Import → Add a mail account.

  2. Enter the email address and configure using the IMAP/SMTP details above.

  3. Gmail will import and allow you to send from your domain email.

Outlook (Desktop or 365)

  1. Open Outlook → File → Add Account.

  2. Enter your email and select IMAP.

  3. Fill in the IMAP/SMTP settings listed above.

iPhone (Apple Mail)

  1. Go to Settings → Mail → Accounts → Add Account → Other → Add Mail Account.

  2. Enter your email, password, and IMAP/SMTP server details.

Troubleshooting

  • Can’t send emails:

    • Make sure SMTP authentication is enabled.

    • Try port 465 (SSL) or 587 (STARTTLS).

  • Can’t receive emails:

    • Check that your domain’s MX records point to Ascendr’s server.

    • Verify quota limits in cPanel.

  • Password issues:

    • Test login directly in Webmail. If it works there, the problem is with your email client’s settings.

  • cPanel email setup, create email cPanel, webmail, Gmail IMAP, configure email Outlook
